PLASMA LIFT aka FIBROBLAST THERAPY

What is Fibroblast Therapy?

Fibroblast therapy or Plasma Lift is a non-surgical treatment that uses a pen-like device and the power of plasma to tighten and smooth the skin. The plasma pen discharges a series of tiny plasma flashes (electric current) on the treatment area. The plasma is emitted in a quick popping motion along the skin’s surface. This procedure has also been called:

  • plasma skin resurfacing
  • plasma skin regeneration
  • plasma needling
  • plasma lift
plasma lift otherwise known as fibroblast

Proceedure & Benefits

Fibroblast Skin Treatment is performed using a plasma pen and under topical anesthetic cream. An electrical arc is discharged from the plasma pen without touching the skin. At the multiple places on the treated area where the plasma pen is used, the discharge leaves micro craters in the skin, which heal in the form of dots (see image on the right). The skin around the dots naturally shrinks to heal the micro craters, which causes the skin stretching effect.fibroblast before after illustration

After about a week, the scabs from the dots will fall off, revealing multiple pink dots in their place, which will gradually fade over time. This is no cause to be concerned about; it is the normal recovery process.

Skin peels can be used on the treated area to facilitate the fading of the dots, however, they are not required as the dots will disappear completely by themselves within one or two months, exact healing times vary from person to person.

Depending on the original skin condition, more than one treatment of Fibroblast may be needed to achieve the desired result. At a personal or video chat consultation, one of our estheticians will be able to advise on the optimal number of treatments you will need. Most clients will be satisfied after a single treatment, however, up to 3 consecutive treatments may be performed on the same area to achieve very dramatic results, even on aged skin.

According to a 2022 article, plasma fibroblast therapy allows the outer layer of the skin to act as a natural dressing, avoids damaging deeper skin layers, and promotes a more rapid recovery.

The article also lists the following as advantages of the technique:

  • high precision to target specific areas
  • short operation time
  • no bleeding
  • less damage to other tissues and rapid formation of the protective layer
  • fast healing
  • immediate return to usual activities
  • no visible scars
  • no hyperpigmentation
  • no infection
  • no pain
  • very slight inflammatory reaction

The author adds that people may consider the treatment a well-tolerated, effective, and low-cost procedure.

Evidence suggests that plasma fibroblast therapy can tighten the skin in a number of areas, including the:

  • Forehead Frown Lines
  • Upper Eye Lids
  • Under Eye Bags
  • Crows Feet
  • Marionette lines
  • Nasolabial lines (Smile lines)
  • Neck
  • Jaw Lift
  • Cheek Lift
  • Stretch marks
  • C-section scars
  • Loose belly skin
  • Sagging skin knees
  • Acne scarring
  • Mole removal

TREATMENT EXPECTATIONS

Benefits of Fibroblast

After your dot scabs fall off, you will immediately notice an improvement in the treated area. However, complete results from Fibroblast wrinkle remover treatment usually take 4 to 8 weeks. The best part is that unlike other commonly used treatment options like Botox and Fillers, the Fibroblast Skin Tightening procedure is an all-natural treatment that brings about permanent results.

Of course, the treatment will not stop your natural aging process, but your skin will stay smooth and tight until future natural wrinkle formation or sagging occurs over the coming years. The good news is that the Fibroblast treatment can be repeated.fibroblast plasma pen

What you should know:

Fibroblast skin tightening, when performed correctly, is one of the best non-surgical skin treatments in the beauty industry and cosmetology to date. However, the treatment has to be performed by a certified, skilled esthetician, not only to be effective but also to be safe.

The Plasma Pen used for the treatment should be manufactured by a reputable medical company, and it will always come with associated paperwork and certifications. If you are considering Fibroblast treatment – be sure to select an experienced provider!

How Much Does It Cost?

Many factors influence cost, such as the stage of aging, which may require one treatment or up to three treatments to resolve to optimal results.  Also, the treatment area size is a factor. Are we treating a few frown lines or your entire neck? For the most accurate cost, it is best to send us a photo or come for a free consultation. Prices range from as little as a few hundred dollars to multiple treatments over a few months costing more.

How long does this treatment take?

Each treatment session lasts between 15 minutes and one hour.

How Many Fibroblast Treatments Will I Need For Optimal Results?

It depends on the state of your skin and the desired degree of correction. Clients are often satisfied after only one treatment, for example, if the wrinkles are not very deep. But, due to the simplicity of the procedure and the affordable price, many clients opt for two or even three treatments to achieve a perfect result. The procedure may be repeated after the skin is fully regenerated, so 6 to 8 weeks after the procedure. Generally, at least 2 sessions are required for best results.

Are The Results Visible Immediately After The Treatment?

The results are visible immediately after the treatment, but the maximum results will be visible after 3 to 4 weeks, when the skin enters the third phase of the healing (collagen and connective tissue growth). So, results are visible immediately, but the end results appear 3 to 4 weeks after the treatment.

How Long Will The Effects Of The Fibroblast Treatment Last?

The results of the Fibroblast treatment may be visible for years. But, we should acknowledge that the aging process is continuous. This cannot be stopped. The results of this method are immediate, but after the first course of 2-3 treatments, clients often come back annually for touch-ups as their skin naturally ages.
